The Iola Amateur Radio Club (IARC) is located in Iola, KS. It was started in November 2007 by Red (AA7CP) and Ralph (WA0KHV). The current officers are:

We have a 2 meter repeater situated in Gas City at an elevation of 140 feet, using the call KD0EAX. The output of the repeater is on 147.375 MHz, input on 147.975 MHz, with a PL tone of 179.9 Hz. We also have a 70cm Repeater located on the same tower, 442.450 output, 447.450 input, also 179.9 PL tone. During times of repeater outage, please use the simplex frequency of 146.580MHz.
IARC works with the Allen County Sherrif's office during severe storms. During these times, a command center will be established at the Sheriff's office, and operators will be assigned locations to report to. Please keep the repeater clear for emergency traffic during these occasions.
Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the Iola city courtroom at 2 W Jackson St (North side of the Iola Square). We are registered with the ARRL VEC to perform VE testing - If you would like to test, please contact Red at 620-365-0050.
